Booking Requirements - Cancellation Fees

A $100.00 per person deposit is required with all reservations. Deposits will be credited to accounts on the CONFIRMED DEPARTURE DATE. The deposit minus $50.00 cancellation fee shall be refundable provided that notice of cancellation has been received by the resort 10 days prior to the arrival date. Full deposit loss 10 days to 2 days prior. Full 1st nights charge with less than 48 hrs notice.

As is the policy with most seasonal resorts, guests who depart prior to their confirmed departure date MUST PAY THE FULL RESERVED PACKAGE PRICE unless we are able to rent their accommodation on the same day as they depart. No credit will be given nor issued for late arrivals or early departures. Credit will be issued for missed arrival date supper if notified one week in advance.

GRATUITY ADVICE

A 15% TIP (gratuity) will automatically be charged to guest accounts. Please observe a NO EXTRA TIPPING policy, as we wish that you would rather indulge in another Spa appointment, participate in one more sport activity, have another delicious bottle of wine or spoil oneself with extending the stay another night…..any of these will help all of the Resorts working team, far more than an extra tipping. This Policy insures that we can provide better quality service throughout and also allows us to pay the 15% tip collected as boosted salaries and bonuses to all our Team. 

If you feel you really have to tip then we encourage you to fill out a Touch of Class Award form that you will find in your Accommodation and mention the Employee that deserves Extra Acknowledgement.......This will affect them emotionally and financially.

BOOKING ADVICE

The Resort has a format when setting rates that may be of interest.

  • Prices are set low in the beginning.
  • Closer to the arrival date one will notice rates will start to rise. This is based on less and less availability and more guests wanting to book last minute.
  • The earlier you book, will guarantee the lowest rate for your accommodation package.

In the very rare chance that rates come down last minute in your Accommodation Catagory, one of two things will happen.

  • Either you will be upgraded to an accommodation that reflects the price you are paying.
  • Or your rate will be adjusted down to equal the new rates for that accommodation catagory.
  • Either way it should be a nice surprise.
Sometimes we have holes to fill.  That is, there is an Accommodation that is just available for one night and at these times we will reduce the rate of this 1 night accommodation stay inorder to fill it up.  Sort of a last minute deal, but only to those who will have a very short time with us (ie 4pm to 11am)

NON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Please be advised that we will have a charge for non alcoholic beverages throughout the Resort property. Charges also apply to beverages in your accommodation's fridge. Ice will also be provided fresh in your fridge on arrival.

ROOM SERVICES

Please be advised that a $10 charge will be applied to all room service deliveries including lunch and dinner to all accommodations. Breakfast room service is offered Free for now.

INTERNET

High Speed Internet and Free North American Calling FREE of charge in all rooms.

IN ROOM MOVIE

In room Movies $15.00 per day.

CARBON OFFSET ECO INITIATIVE FEE

2010: Solar Systems, Bamboo Flooring, Electric Golf Cart, 4 Stroke Recreation Equip., Organic Towels, Fair Trade Coffee/Tea
2011: Develop recycling for the Whitney community, and ???

$30.oo is a one-time fee for the Whole Stay (not per person) to help the environment. It makes a difference, we can do it together.


POWER OUTAGE POLICY

Power Outage Policy was introduced due to outage in winter 2009, the first time in 42 years that the resort had to shutdown due to a power outage.

  • We will try to update the home page of our website to tell when we are up again.
  • If there is a power outage we will try to notify guests. If we are successful the deposit will be refunded if desired.
  • If guests arrive or if a power outage happens while guests are here, we will offer:
    • If power goes out for two hours between 4pm and 11pm: 10% off
    • If power goes out for three hours between 8pm and 11pm: 20% off
    • If power goes out for four hours between 7pm and 11pm: 30% off
    • If power goes out for five hours between 6pm and 11pm: 35% off and one free night stay in the future, similar accommodation
    • Power outages after 11pm through to 4pm will have no discount attached.
