My husband and I just back from spending our honeymoon at the resort. Of the six years we had dated we never went away together and I am very happy to say I am glad we waited to experience this beautiful resort! The food, the room, the outdoor activities and staff were amazing and we are already talking about coming back in the winter! The Couples Resort is truely a special place that will forever be cherished by Brent and I. Tammy & Brent Evans Tammy Evans |

If only every day could be like a day at the Couples Resort. We were overwhelmed at how outstanding the staff was, how excellent the food was, how cozy our room was (with the hot tub on the balcony, a definite must...you will not regret it), and how relaxing the hot stone massage was (also a definite must). And there's so much to do outdoors, where do we fit it all in?!! We enjoyed every bit that we opted to stay an extra night. It truly is an experience not to be missed. Thanks to all the staff, you made our stay memorable and succeeded in pampering and spoiling us! Looking forward to returning :) Jo & Darin |

Again another terrific getaway for us at the Couples Resort, with the exception of the weather everything was perfect. We will be back, this was our 10th or 11th visit so obviously we love it. Thanks to Ken in the dining room, excellent server and lots of fun. Until next time. Thank you. Wendy and Darrel Mullin |

This was our 4th trip to the Couples Resort and once again, we absolutely loved it. We stayed in a Master Junior Suite and were absolutely floored with the luxury and comfort of the room. The food was world class also. My wife has a allergy to a particular oil but the chef was more than willing to meet with her and go over what she wanted so that they could substitute a different oil. We recommend this resort to all of our friends and tell them that there is no other place like it to reconnect and just have an awesome time with your spouse. Thanks for making our 14th anniversary so memorable. Kevin & D'Anne Mullin |

We spent our honeymoon at the couples resort back in 2008. We loved everything about or stay, The servie was out of this world. We loved the hottub outside of our room. We spent lots of time enjoying the trails and jumping on the ATV's but most of all we loved our rooms. ( this is how we became parents) Everything about this place is Great. We are now looking at a place to go for our 2nd year anny and nothing comes close to your resort. We would love to come and spend another 3 nights. (but maybe spend more time out of the room this time )hah DW |

My boyfriend and I stayed at the resort for two nights and it was way above our expectations. From the moment we walked into our Masters Junior Suite until our check out, the accomodation, dining and service was truly a five star experience. We left the resort feeling rejuvenated and can't wait to plan our next return. We both had a 30 minute Shiatsu message and we would recommend that everyone purchase the full hour...it was total relaxation! We would also recommend the lamb entrees!!! Compliments to the chef and the entire staff! We can't wait to return. Kimberly & Justin |

Last week we spent three nights at your resort in one of your Master Junior Suites. I am still thinking about how wonderful that time was for us. We were truly spoiled. It was a relaxing escape from reality. The outdoor hot tub on our balcony was a treat that we enjoyed every day. The free room service for breakfast was superb. In fact, our first morning home after our resort stay, I jokingly asked my husband when our doorbell was going to ring with our breakfast delivery! The five (not four) course dinners were absolutely delicious and most of the time we didn't have any trouble finishing it all. We went horseback riding which was great and did a lot of walking on the trails and into the village of Whitney. The staff were helpful, polite, friendly, and more than willing to accomodate our every need. We will definitely go back to this resort. Did I mention the room? Loved the room! We will recommend your resort to all who are interested in a place that caters to couples. Claire and Cindy Susut |

FANTASTIC!
My husband & I went to just get away from the busy city life (... and it was fabulous. We stayed for two glorious nights (which also coincided with our 9-monthsary!!) Winter getaways are amazing ... especially up in the Algonquin Park area.
Our cabin was amazing ... loved the in-suite jacuzzi and the wood-burning fireplace! The food was phenomenal ... the staff, amazing.
We're planning on a summer get away now to the Couples Resort. We have also started recommending your resort to friends of ours! Gordon & Miriam Saint |

My husband and I booked a cabin for two nights very last minute. We searched for a quick two night get away and while we found numerous places to go, I kept going back to your site.
We have never done a winter getaway within the province, but we had a fabulous time! Our cabin, one of the Junior Luxury Suites, was just amazing. Our in-suite jacuzzi & an actual wood-burning fireplace was just awesome.
The staff went out of their way to accomodate us. From the front desk staff, to the dining staff, to the activity centre staff ... everyone was courteous and very helpful (and very cheerful too!)
We are seriously thinking of heading back to the resort for a summer weekend getaway!!
We've already started recommending The Couples Resort to friends of ours!! Miriam Saint |

Ian and I had an opportunity to stay at the resort in November 2009 for a 5 day stay. What a wonderful location to spend time together in an uninterrupted environemt. I don't know how they do it , but the place was spotless, and not once was our time interrupted by the sounds of vacum cleaners or other electonic. It was quiet, peaceful, restful. The food was great, Not once was I able to eat all that was served. The food is healthy and delicious. Great care was taken with allergies. I made an error on a menu choice and the chef picked it up and let me know in advance that the meal contained an item that i was allergic to. Ian, enjoyed the peace and quiet and uninterupted time together. Everything is geared to couples, from dining room to spa rooms. I recommend this destination for any couple needing some time together.

My wife and I recently visited your resort and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The opportunity to relax and recharge the batteries after a hectic holiday period was exactly what was required. We have visited Couple’s Resort 3 times previously and were very aware of the services we would be receiving; however, we were very taken aback when we thought we wanted wine with dinner. In other years, Couple’s Resort offered a liter of wine for approximately $20.00. We discovered this when we arrived at Couple’s Resort with friends of ours and 2 people enjoyed white wine and 2 enjoyed red. We are not wine ‘snobs’ but we do enjoy a couple of glasses of wine with dinner. The first evening we ended up ordering a Pinot Gregio from Italy (very nice wine) and was handed a bill at the end of our dinner for approximately $80.00 which included a $7.95 Service Fee? Unbelievable!! The least expensive bottle of wine from the menu was $52.00. We enjoy wine but not to this extent. It has become apparent, Couples Resort is now target marketing itself as a very high end resort and for that, I wish you the best. There are many other resorts offering the same service levels as Couple’s Resort without enduring a 2 ½ drive and paying extremely high prices on wine. An additional issue we faced on Saturday afternoon was asking Charles for ice. Extremely moody and apparently we put him out. No need for this. It is with regret that we will not return to Couple’s Resort.

my husband and I drove almost 4 hours from cambridge to go here for the first time in December 2009 for my birthday. the resort was breath taking. the food was delicious, tons of food, too much really!!! i couldnt eat all of it but my husband happily ate my left overs. the in room fireplace and breakfast served to our room, were the perfect romantic setting. the whole weekend was a surprise from my husband, and the only disappointment was the horseback riding excursion which was the main reason he chose to go there, got cancelled because the guide called in sick. the receptionist was helpful tried to find another place for us to go, but there was nowhere for us to go. definately worth every penny spent. chad and tracy conaghan |
